DLH Angus

DLH Angus was created in the fall 0f 2006. In our first year, we started with 38 commercial angus influence cows. Since then, we have grown to a herd of 80 Purebred Black Angus, 20 commercials, 4 herd sires and our calf crop of 2008. We have acquired our seed stock from countless select sales, angus dispersals and by private treaty. Our cows have come from as far North as Camp Creek, Alberta to as far south as Modesto, California and everywhere in between. We are extremely proud of the group of females that we have put together.

Show & Sale Results:
2009 will be our first ever consignment to the Calgary Bull Sale and we are very excited to offer bull's from our 2008 crop. We feel that we have been extremely selective in deciding which of our bulls have made the cut. We wanted to offer only our best in order to gain a valuable reputation in the Angus circle and also to start building solid relations with cattle growers in the community. Our goal is to offer bulls that perform very well without a lot of special attention, that have proven bloodlines, balanced EPD's and most importantly are sound, fertile and eye appealing. We want to sell you a bull that will suit your needs and that will last. We have great choices for heifer bulls, replacement sires, growth and outcross genetics.

Breeding Program:
Our goal in the Angus industry is to produce sought after cattle by both purebred and commercial breeders alike. Our motto from the beginning is that we would rather have quality over quantity. We are striving to produce balanced bulls with light birth weights, solid growth and that are functional to perform in the toughest environments. For our cows, our goals are to produce moderately framed, easy calvers with exceptional udders and most importantly, that they raise a big calf. Soundness, fertility and eye appeal is a must all the way around.
