In the
beautiful Peace River country of northern Alberta we raise our
black Angus cattle. Our goal is to raise very maternal, correct,
hardy cattle that will work under most ranch conditions for a
long time. We want our cows to raise a good calf naturally - on
grass with no creep, walking on good feet with tight udders and ample
milk.
Show &
Sale Results:
On the first Thursday of April we host our annual bull sale at
our farm, this year will be our seventh sale. Thursday, April 5,
2007 we will offer approximately 40 yearling black Angus bulls.
These bulls will offer fresh pedigrees and sound performance.
Breeding Program:
At Lookout, our herd is built around pedigrees that are strongly
Canadian influenced. We have used bulls that are very maternal with
natural muscle and moderate framed - like our Angus breed is known for.
We feel that longevity and correctness are more important to us and our
customers than strictly EPD's, and instead we evaluate cattle on indexes
and appearance. A large portion of our herd is built around the Ambush
and Pacesetter lines. We have a strong concentration of Right Time in
our herd, as well as the Chief line. |
